Let Them In 05:25
Who do you think you are? Why have you locked the door? Why do you fear those who don’t look the same as you? Let them in. Let them in. You’ve got to let them in! What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Tenemos que huir. Nos quieren matar Ábrannos! Ayer no comí. Hay hambre allá Ábrannos! The refugees cry the immigrant song Ábrannos! The immigrant cries the immigrant song Ábrannos! Humans, we paint the world one thousand colors, Turn around and pretend to see in black and white Let them in. Let them in. You’ve got to let them in! What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Tenemos que huir. Nos quieren matar Ábrannos! Ayer no comí. Hay hambre allá Ábrannos! The refugees cry the immigrant song Ábrannos! The immigrant cries the immigrant song Abrannos!

I can tell that you like mustard You’re a very messy eater Let me lick the stain off your shirt I wish you would let me feed you Come on over. I’ll cook dinner Call me when your belly’s growling Let me feed you oh-oh I wanna feed you oh-oh Let me feed you oh-oh I smell something cooking, baby Can I look inside the oven? You are making my mouth water Baby, baby, baby, baby Hurry cuz I’m feeling hungry Let me, let me, let me bite you Let me feed you oh-oh I wanna feed you oh-oh Let me feed you oh-oh

Out of the office and into the cold I’m gonna walk back to my nest When I get home I’ma start up a fight I’m gonna talk back to myself Can you get rid of that smell? I wanna run I wanna run away from here I put a dent in the back of my head when I got mad It could be good, it could be bad Let’s wait and see Too many heads up in here Don’t wanna talk I’m gonna walk back to my cave When I get home I’ma start up a fire I’m gonna burn this mess alive! Can you get rid of that smell? I wanna run I wanna run away from here I put a dent in the back of my head when I got mad It could be good, it could be bad Let’s wait and see Echoes from their filthy mouths Live in my ear in the night Learn to love yourself now Oh, Lucifer! Goodbye! For now…

I receive signals from up above Archaic theories of what I am Everyone watches me bow down To unseen creatures I read about Easy Saturday Easy Saturday I don’t wanna be the reason that I warn you Easy Saturday Easy Saturday I don’t wanna be the reason that I warn you Ooh-oh I don’t wanna be the reason that I… I receive signals from up above They give me orders to go to war! Everyone watches me bow down To unseen demons I read about Easy Saturday Easy Saturday I don’t wanna be the reason that I warn you Easy Saturday Easy Saturday I don’t wanna be the reason that I warn you Oh-oh I don’t wanna be the reason that I... Oh-oh I don’t wanna be the reason that I warn you

about

Formed in Queens, NY, Selvátiko fuses psych rock, alternative rock and cumbia grooves with metal-inspired breakdowns. With songs written in Spanish, English, and an intro spoken in Quechua – an indigenous language spoken in Bolivia – their debut EP delivers a strong rebuke of anti-immigrant rhetoric, religion-inspired hatred, and our abuse of nature. Using a lyrical approach that is abstract, playful, and at times sarcastic, the work is an introspective observation of our own flaws, both individual and collective. These self loathing themes, delivered through haunting vocal harmonies, become a confessional of our unsound existence.
